Wagon Wheel Restaurant

Richland’s premier diner is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the corner of Jefferson and Washington Streets (at the stoplight–yes, there is just one). Sunday lunch buffet is loaded with all the essentials for a great family meal, and there is a large banquet room for groups. Daily specials and great desserts make this a good choice if you are passing through or live in Richland.

The Burger Stand

An institution in Richland, The Burger Stand has been around since the 60s (the famous clown sign too). It is one of those mom and pop drive-ins where you can still get a fresh meat pattie cooked on the grill while you watch. You’ll have to check out the “Named Burgers” made for special regulars who like a custom approach to burger-making. The crispy chicken salad is another great option with fries and a milkshake. In warm weather, people make use of the shady grounds where scattered picnic tables make for an impromptu picnic among friends.

Market Basket Cafe, Catering and Flowers

Whether you are on your way to the Lake of the Ozarks from I-44, or you are visiting the Richland area, you simply must stay long enough to do lunch at this quaint, friendly little cafe at 302 West Washington Ave. (Turn right at the light). In addition to home-cooked soups, sandwiches, and daily specials, there are signature desserts and occasional Friday Steak Nite’s and Sunday Lunch buffets. While you wait for lunch, you can browse the gift shop area and fresh flower arrangements, or even arrange your next catered meal with owner Barb Bolan.

Silk Road

A local favorite for Asian cuisine is The Silk Road at 215 S. Pine in Richland. The service is courteous and fast, the menu is extensive with the popular Bento Boxes daily and sushi on Thursdays.
