From Christmas Parade to City of Lights and Tri-County Fair, Richland has a host of events and attractions year-round. Check out the Richland Area Chamber of Commerce website for an up-to-date Events Calendar and a categorized Business Directory of members. You can also find school events posted here.
As for other attractions, check out these possibilities…
Tri-County Fair
Tri-County Fair features livestock shows, carnival games and rides as well as the annual tractor-pull during a week in June. Check the Tri-County Board’s Facebook Page for details.
Brock Family ‘Tree’
A unique attraction to visit in Richland is the Brock Family Tree Totem Pole on Highway A. Pick up a brochure at the Brick Emporium or Ginger’s Print Shop about the old oak tree that a local sculptor carved into a family history for the Brock family. The circa 1889 Victorian home built by David and Nannie Tyree Brock still stands as a tribute to a bygone era.
Richland Hardware Bicentennial Mural
Another local wonder is the mural painted on the side of Richland Hardware in the 1970s by the Belche family as a tribute to the Bicentennial Celebration and long history of the Richland community.
Monarch Masterpiece
Commissioned by the owners of Daugherty’s Pub & Grub for Richland’s Sesquicentennial Celebration, these beautiful monarch butterfly wings make the perfect backdrop for photo bugs who visit Richland. We are proud to be one of the migration stops for the endangered monarchs, and milkweed plants all over town welcome them.
The Old Bank Vault
Ever been inside a bank vault or seen the beautiful brass and stainless craftsmanship that goes into a vault door? On special occasions, the 60-year-old door is on display for visitors to Richland. When the historic bank building was de-commissioned as a bank in 2018, the Central Ozarks Medical Center purchased the building for administrative offices. Too heavy to move, the door and vault remain in place as part of the history of Richland.
